My name is riley nooren, And Today is my first blog in leadership, school has been started for 1 week now and so far i am loving it. Leadership is my favourite class, So far we have made posters for the school and held an orientation event for the new grade nines. We have also talked lots about the qualities and the attributes that make leaders... leaders. Also we talked about different types of leaders such as good leaders bad leaders effective leaders and leaders that weren't or aren't so effective. im looking forward too the rest of this week in leadership.

While i was watching the video it made me think of the way we all live our lives and incouraged me too think in a different way sending a text never seemed so amazing until i watched this. i think if everyone thought this way everyone would be so much more appreciative of what we have and the things weve been given. people i think sometimes dont realize how easy our lives actually are some people just need too CALM DOWN and be thankfull for everything they have. im not saying that im not one of those people i just think we all need too work on it :)

My thoughts on this article is that it was just mind blowing. the detail knaan goes into about his home, his story, his struggles, and the struggles of others growing up in that place


is this leadership?
yes i do think this is leadership. i think what knaan is trying too do is too give people a real understanding of what is going on in somalia and he is the first person too be this graphic and detailed about it not too mention it is his own life story if you ask me that is a leader..

thoughts on the episode ?
i thought this episode touched on many different important topics and it seemed too really show the students for who they really are although i thought they made it seem alll in your face about it

how is this school similar to ours?
i think this school is alot like our because of the fact that there are so many rumours that go around here and so much verbal bullying which i wish was not the case.

thoughts on the concept?
i thinkthe concept is amazing it brings kids together in a judge free enviroment and is almost like a healing proccess or even a reality check for some kids. although i think it would be even better without the cameras


why would i take part?
i would take part because like alot of people i too want too break down the social barriers and hear what other people in my school havetoo say about issues going on in there lives


why is idci invsting time and $?
i think idci teachers and staff wanna see the students come together and reduce the bullying that goes on in this school. i beleive that they too wanna break down the barriers between student to student and mybe even student too teacher.


i am very EXCITED too be invited too participate in challenge day and cannot wait... :D
